You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

Chatroulette employs a combination of AI-powered automated screening and human moderation to enforce these Terms. Our systems scan video frames, audio, and text for potential violations. When a violation is detected:

• First offense: Warning and temporary restriction (24-72 hours).
• Second offense: Extended suspension (7-30 days).
• Third offense: Permanent ban.
• Severe violations (e.g., child exploitation, credible threats of violence) result in immediate permanent ban and referral to law enforcement.

You may appeal moderation decisions by contacting [email protected] within 14 days. Appeals are reviewed by a human moderator not involved in the original decision.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

The Chatroulette name, logo, website design, source code, features, and all related content are the exclusive property of Chatroulette and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you transmit through the Platform (e.g., text messages, profile information). By using Chatroulette, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to any content you transmit and that such content does not violate any third-party rights.

7. Third-Party Services

Chatroulette may integrate with third-party services, including social login providers (Google, Facebook), payment processors, and analytics tools. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third party.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

8.2 User Interactions

You acknowledge that Chatroulette connects you with strangers, and we do not pre-screen all users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We strongly recommend that you never share personal information (such as your full name, address, phone number, or financial details) with anyone you meet on the Platform.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHATROULETTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

9. Indemnification

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Chatroulette at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
• We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification) shall survive.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. 12.2 Severability
